what's the worst change from c1.0 to AoFE 1.2?
just post your opinion; i would like to know that.

I liked the introdution of the new civis (loved to see new unic unics), the new building sets in general (very creative, except castles, which aren't that tall), the new animals (tiger, cow), the new Imperial Camel (they needed), the new Elite Eagle Wairror, the new random maps (really liked them), the new AI (so hard, it's good for training). We should ask you fireboy, what you like instead it will be easier :D.
Noticed yesterday that Onagers can cut trees. The game got more competitive as enemies will start attacking early on BF maps as they don't need to research the so-expensive Siege Onager upgrade. I hated this change very much.

The title of the thread are the changes you hate, if you create one about the changes you liked, I'll post there too.
Onagers can now cut trees, worst change ever
It changes the gameplay too much on maps like michi and bf
To balance this, i would suggest adding an expensive tech for cutting trees at the university (say 800 food and 500 gold), so trebs and onagers can't cut trees until this tech has been researched

Waiting for you to post the whole AoFE list then.
Onager thing is a good thing for infantry civs that struggle against massed siege.
I don't think we need this technollogy. Plus, replacing the Siege Onager upgrade by a technollogy that cuts trees is nearly the same thing.Onagers can now cut trees, worst change ever

Why research that, instead of upgrading to SO?!Onagers can now cut trees, worst change ever

agree, then it's possible to Balance it out, without giving every civic siege onnies; good idea

If you want to clean a path, use trebuchets.
Put 4-6 trebuchets together and you can cut trees quickly and easily. Siege Onagers are good at cleaning long paths, but if you have just some lines of trees, it wouldn't take much effort to clean them by using trebuchets.
Why research that, instead of upgrading to SO?!
If you're referring to civs w/o SO upgrade, then it still isn't gonna work.
Imo your idea is valid only if the tech was reasonably (low) priced. Don't forget the cost for a University+time to build+time to research (a University tech, right?).
Iirc some1 had proposed to have to research chemistry for the onnies to be able to cut.
That makes more sense to me. Turks+Huns benefit as well(only mangonel).
Although personally, I like this change. Makes gameplay different, more aggresive, more fair to civs w/o SO, gives onnies extra value, etc.etc.
Huns, maybe. Turks, I doubt it.In BF/michi maps, Turks and Huns become "underused" with the Onager change.
