I enjoy being called a liar because other people just don't read news or any other data on their lives. Phil said the revenue is at 15% but official data from microsoft says is 12% i would like to see you calling him a liar, then if you go down to their financial report you gotta take in consideration all those game studios they have bought and how much they keep investing to make it profitable, the same liar (Phil) has said in the past that they need X number of subscribers to meet their goals and to finally see if game pass is profitable at all, the date is set to 2026, meanwhile they have to keep amplifying their wins.2023 and Soufire is still spouting "facts" with no sources and constantly overlooking the positives while amplifying the negatives.

Bruh you are citing the currency conversion chart. But we are not him, microsoft has killed before lots of projects in the past with those revenue numbers, specially considering how much they are investing on them.

What are you even talking about man. This guy is discussing ways for people who want to play aoe 2 not as a recreation but as their full-time job and who need money to pay rent and buy food. He's not trying to force everyone to pay money to play every game or when they lose games. People who just enjoy playing it like a hobby can just continue to play the game as they do today forever.I hate this mindstate. There will be a time you realize it was not about the money, it was about the people and you are not able to take all the money with you when end is near.
but yeah continue your way - money is god - rise the advertisment - consume and obey
The game will survive without money for eternity. That's not the point of discussion. Its about the competitive scene and lack of an opportunity for profitable content creation with the game. I think everyone is just seeing this as a discussion about making the game solely intended for profit. Its not, just think of it as one of your favorite outdoor sports. There's football, basketball, tennis. A lot of people casually play these regularly but they also have major leagues and tournaments which involve money. This discussion about how to improve that part of the game.I wonder how this community and game survived all those 20 years without streamers taking out money and Microsoft donating to them. With irregular high-prize tournaments and mostly community (that means non-paid, surprisingly maybe to you, as opposed to what people try to literally "sell" you as "for the community" today) efforts on all levels.
Without the money, things would be different, sure. But was it really bad before it became a thing? Tbh, this is a personal opinion, it was better. It has brought some very unsavoury practices and things together with some of the cooler ones. It has significantly changed the community, to the point of practically "killing" what is truly meant by "community" and what was working here so well for so long, you have that in just limited spaces now. Today's "community" is altogether different, and turned much more into consumer-product relation of things. But I'm old-school, and weird I guess, for people who do not know any different, it's not really a problem, it's how it is.
it seems someone get my point, thanks a lot. What are you even talking about man.
