We may take a look on that but don't expect it any time soon. Since there is nothing similar in WK, it will be hard to find the way to implement them. The hotkeys for technlogies work because we actually turned them into units, that do allow hotkeys.
That is also my idea, some sort of script that loops over all the buildings and adds them to the control group. Like I said, we'll look into it.Something like a control group binding could be already pretty helpful, I think.
So people wouldn't need to select each of them but just one.
Let's say (just as an idea):
- Select building you want to add all of to a control group.
- Press Ctrl + Alt + Control Group number
- Have all of these buildings on that CG
Try making sure that you can play AoC without any mods and later try adding WK or WK DE. If you have troubles, write in the mod's page and tell us the error message you get.Wanting to try it out, I spent maybe 30 minutes following the instructions, installing voobly, installing compatibility patch, installing the mod.... It didn't work for me, I guess I'm getting old.
You need both HD and DE to play in voobly? I uninstalled HD a long time ago. Do I need to reinstall it again just to play in Voobly?
You can use either to play on Voobly. Some other things to note: Though Voobly is a multiplayer client, it's still possible to play Standard vs. the AI by setting up your lobby room to just be yourself and then selecting AI players in the game room. You need both HD and DE to play in voobly? You need either AOC or HD in order to play on Voobly. In order to pass the license check of the installer, you must have DE (on Steam or Windows Store) or HD (on Steam) installed. If you don't have a legit copy, the installer won't work.
The new license check will make the civs available you have licensed. For example if you own HD only, you will only be able to play HD civs. Assuming we can get this working properly, otherwise DE is required. Can you answer the questions I asked above about the case where someone owns HD but not DE?
So I get that HD/AOC and DE both are a must to play WK DE. Gotcha, thanks! You need either AOC or HD in order to play on Voobly. Without implementing a new engine though!DE is not compatible at all with HD or AOC. The graphics, the file formats, they changed everything.
If you ask me, most of the compatibility stuff has been done purposely, to force the community to move to DE. Like the encryption stuff they added and the new file formats. We were already able to figure out most of it, still it is time wasting and annoying, Strictly speaking, DE is just a huge data mod based on the old engine, they didn't add anything new. All those "features" they added were part of the original genie engine already.Without implementing a new engine though!
