Did anyone actually read what he said...?
As many already suggested, this "issue" should be resolved on Voobly`s side, making some automatic logic (which on the other hand might make streaming less convenient...?). Other than that, people are forced to close the room and abandon the game search - which they were after in the first place, making it absurd, and very inconvenient.
What Voobly did to support streamers is a very nice thing, but it shouldn`t make matchmaking even harder, as it is already pretty hard to find a specific game on higher levels. If it can be solved on the Voobly side, in my opinion, it would be great, everything else is questionable and not so user friendly.
While I completely understand Voobly regarding this matter, Biz`s complaint also seems very, very legitimate - he wasn`t to play somewhere else but Voobly, but no one entered the room for a while, and he was still waiting for someone to join and play. In the meanwhile he used his computer the way he wants - and he still wanted to play on Voobly (but more than one player is needed for a game, thus still waiting).the point is that I'm not doing any advertisement. I'm simply in a room waiting for people to join. If you are 18+ this can take many hours, and you are going to be doing something else in the meanwhile...
Honestly, I don't actually care about views. Some people are popular enough to get partnership and stuff, but for me it's just that some people do find value in watching/learning, and it costs me nothing to do it. And I promote AoE2/Voobly in the process. It's a win all around...
I just find it rather comical and somewhat ridiculous that I have to either abandon my search for a game or turn off the stream. Anything that inconveniences players (like this whole Voobly vs. Gameranger thing) is bad for everyone
