I know this is really late, but after playing this map a few times now, the positioning of villagers is really crappy. Is this honestly the best version of LN available for tournament?
Not true, I decided to check recs and the centre point of villagers was sometimes way off where their allocated resources 'should' be I guess.Tribals map is the correct one. Of course you cant change peoples behaviour who put their Lumbercamp on allies/enemies hunt with two far vills far away from center of three vills. But that isnt a map bug, its a noob bug.
Tribal Wars map is EXACTLY the same as LAND NOMAD(fixed).rms and I'm 100% sure it was the correct LAND NOMAD(fixed). I just changed the name to make it official and prevent the multiple versions of LAND NOMAD fixed (like space before or after (fixed)) getting used in the tourney. There is nothing wrong with it, you really just had some bad luck. If you want a fair map that doesn't place players near each other and everybody gets same close resources the only alternatives are the 5b,6b,7b maps. But then everybody would complain it's a noob map, such paradox, eh? Stuck villagers can happen on any LN map. You test it in vain.
This is how LN fixed always was, all better players use this exact version.
Hmm.. This is weird. Kkab is probably the one who knows LN the most, and we've been playing quite many Tribal Wars map games. Always there are weird and wrong positions. Can't think of one game that I've played that map where the positions/spots have been like they should be in Land Nomad Fixed.Tribal Wars map is EXACTLY the same as LAND NOMAD(fixed).rms and I'm 100% sure it was the correct LAND NOMAD(fixed). Some days ago me and kkab agreed, and tried to test the ONLY Land Nomad Fixed map that I've had on my computer for some time. And after two games he told me : "viper, this is the real map".
After the game aswell he was very clear on that we HAD to get the map changed, because he didn't want games to be decided due to the map. He knows Land Nomad better than anyone, and when he says the Tribal War map is bugged after playing it 30+ times, I think he would be correct on the matter. Not to mention, we played the Land Nomad Fixed version about 5 times, and all the times the spots were good, and everything seemed as it should. We played them with POJ guys, which are all 2k+ LN players, so claiming that some of us are noobs regarding to lumbercamp placement would be off imo.
I've sent the version to Dreams, and if he could pass it on to someone who can read the maps and compare them, it would be awesome. If they turn out to be the same after that, we won't complain.
