Chris not asked Nola yet?Gotta laugh at that...how many players have you tried to get into Legion in the last month or so knowing WCL was coming? You asked Sorck when he was leaving StorM to join Legion several times, seems you asked daut, halen, kkab..anyone else? Jordan? Dog? Riut? The list goes on
Maybe he should not be so stingy, engineer in Alberta he must be rich really. 11Well to be fair, Chris argument is reasonable if Chris didn't pay other players. I think Chris is just saying that this way is not ethical...
No one has anything against this being revealed (except kkab, maybe, because that MSN chat IS the private chat of you two, and you shouldn`t post it without asking him first). The problem is the way you did it. This sentence of yours says it all:Just curious, for all these people who are questioning why I put this up - would you have preferred not to know it? What's wrong with knowing that the team you are rooting for is sponsored to play 24/7? Like you said you will see a drastic improvement in their game so the recs will be better. I'm not against sponsorship, but why are the vast majority of you against it being public information?
And then you say later you are not against sponsorship, and ask why people reacted like they did... This was not your reply to him (as it should be, if you felt like that), but part of your post commenting your chat later, for everyone to see. You didn`t just post an information for people to know about, you gave very personal comments people didn`t like.WHAT!? Did I just hear that right? Kkab you are telling me that you are being sponsored enough to play AoC full time?
Ethics is a very disputable thing when it comes to high-level (read: money involved) events, because people often participate to get the money - so it is hard to say when they should take it, and when to refuse it. Was it ethical to allow Legion clan to have 4 teams while other clans were allowed to have only 2 teams in some of previous WCLs? I don`t think so. But it was fine as they were the creators of the tournament, their sponsor made it happen and they made the rules.Well to be fair, Chris argument is reasonable if Chris didn't pay other players. I think Chris is just saying that this way is not ethical...
Exactly what the point is, +1ps. On topic, imo the one to blame here is Daut who changed his mind for money and joined Tyrant, not Kkab who made the offer. But after all he is a professional player as all players in his lvl are, so there is nothing to blame. It would be strange to expect him/them to play for fun and even if they did, would they play at this lvl? Competition is good, imagine Champions League without teams like Barcelona
p.s. I`m just curious would Legion ban _DauT_ from the tournament once again (but this time probably with kkab, Halen and Grunt, too) because of this sponsorship, if WCL stayed at Legion
It would be nice to see well known clans with their original roosters
Just out of curiosity since I follow sc2 scene alot. what is the teams name that you co-own?I understand Chris's POV. But that said - this is what e-sports are.
I personally "pay" some players on my Starcraft 2 teams (I co-own a e-sports team) and it is perfectly normal since I get a budget from my team sponsors.
Players will jump ship for money. It happens at the highest e-sports level in any competitive games and it's inevitable. Money talks. It's very common in CS 1.6 where you see quite often players jump from fnatic to sk gaming or evil geniuses etc.
IMO Chris, you only have 1 choice. Play with those willing to play with you - and make a statement with your play. You are widely seen as the top AoC player in polls, even if Daut etc have good support too.
AoC is over 10 years old. I actually find it ridiculously amazing that someone is actually willing to put forward multiple's 5000$ to sponsor an AoC team.
Ahaha, lol, I have en extra O indeed  11 I meant "rosters" ops:When did farm yard animals come into thisIt would be nice to see well known clans with their original roosters
But please upload the your training recs once WCL is finished .
