Most people seemingly only talk negatively about top players and their dynasty ending. So time for a short praise of Jordan:
He is obviously extremely positive and sympathetic as a person. However, beyond that he has proven in recent months that he is a top player, a force to be reckoned with.
I wasn't around during his active phase way back in the time when he won the BO21 vs Viper. After his return to AoE2 a while ago, I only experienced him then. At that point, many people were negative about him and his chances, making fun of Jordan being back etc. After a while, I almost bought into the negativity: "the old stories are exaggerated, he was never close to Viper, this is just an old pro who is washed up, he will never be top5, he is at best top20, newer experts are much better".
But recent performances by him have shown his true class. Despite his longer break back in the day, he has now a 2nd place in HC4, a top4 performance in RBW5 and at least top4 in Kotd4. Really impressive stuff! And I'm happy to see it.
