Nili invited him only because of his fans to boost viewer numbers. That was the only reason.
If that was the plan it clearly did not work. I am rewatching NAC3 right now, and the viewer numbers comparison is just funny.

I think it's very reasonable to assume that Viper is actually Top 10 and perhaps the exact #8 and would have had a very realistic chance to qualify. He got a 7:14 record, won a set, took 2 maps from Mista whos quite clearly Top 5. There was nobody in the qualifiers who had a good shot against those Top 7 except for Bee and then maaaaybe Capoch. Even Vortix and Lucifront, who struggled in the tournament, just completely crushed their qualifiers. Vortix went 2:0 against Daut and Capoch, Lucifront dropped only one map against Capoch and went on to 4:0 his final opponent who had 2:0ed all of his other opponents. On current form, Viper is not a top 8 aoe4 player and would not made it via qualifiers.
This result in n4c is pretty expected, it's the fault of admins to invite him.
But that makes Nili's decision to invite him slightly less horrible and therefore it makes him 0.01% less evil than before. After this...how can we keep bullying him till the end of times?I think it's very reasonable to assume that Viper is actually Top 10 and perhaps the exact #8 and would have had a very realistic chance to qualify. So, Viper looked not good against the Top 7 but he looked better against them than everybody else.
In NAC 3 the two qualified players (Villese and Antagonist) went 6:11 and 5:12, in NAC 2 we had F1re qualified who won against a basically inactive Jordan but besides that had 1:12 record.
Ultimately, Viper won more maps than Lucifront. So if he would not made it via qualifiers, then Lucifront wouldn't have made it neither, I guess?
Mehh we have enough and respectable reasons, we can let this go.But that makes Nili's decision to invite him slightly less horrible and therefore it makes him 0.01% less evil than before. After this...how can we keep bullying him till the end of times?
I think it's safer to keep him as a 100% fully corrupted soul.

For first tournament closest was Kasva but he is also out of scene now. Currently only winner of transition is Nili as AOE2 tournament host, his tournaments in AOE4 has more prize pool than AOE2 ones.Anyway, is there any aoe2 player who transitioned to aoe4 and had more success?
That's not more except Kasva.-Hera did well in tourneys, being top10-ish, and still got 1k+ viewers before switching to league in Feb.
-Capoch lost to the Spanish bros in the second last rounds of the two N4C qualifiers.
-Kasva went into the final round of Q1 but got knocked out by Beasty.
To be fair the first game he kind of trolled.Do not forget he also lost 0-2 to Dogao in the DWPL two days ago.
To be fair, what if the opponent was trolling in the games he won?To be fair the first game he kind of trolled.
To be fair the first game he kind of trolled.
We are back to 2019 XDTo be fair the first game he kind of trolled.
It's a deliberate attempt by Nili to make the aoe2 scene more exciting, and look at all the hate he got for itThe good guys over at AOE4 throwing money at their dead game just to distract the snake from dominating AOE2
