I am quite happy with result, kick those AOE4 players out of the game.
This is surprising to me. He won a single premier event... Hera is an extraordinarily skilled player, and could have had a legacy like Viper or Daut. Winning a single Hidden Cup doesn't put him anywhere close to that kind of level. He seems frustrated with the game when playing AOE4 too, I hope he has made the correct decision for himself and enjoys similar levels of success in AOE4.
This surprised me as well, I expected more of the lower level pro's in AoE2 to try and grind to become good at AoE4, but it seems it's mostly the top level pro's are playing AoE4.It's understandable that RO32/64 type players would move fully over to AOE4 in case they could perform at a higher level in that game, but Hera is actually successful.

why the surprise? the game is really bad. It's more surprising to me that any skilled aoe2 player plays aoe4 for more than a few hours when they can't even edit hotkeys. But of course, the main reason anyone is playing the game is because of the upcoming tournaments. This surprised me as well, I expected more of the lower level pro's in AoE2 to try and grind to become good at AoE4, but it seems it's mostly the top level pro's are playing AoE4.
Let's say that's all true, wouldn't it still be smart for lower level AoE2 players to get some money, possibly more than they could ever get by playing AoE2? I know not all of them might like it as much as AoE2, but purely from a professional POV it's a smart move.why the surprise? the game is really bad. That is what happens with SC2 players, the Only semi top player who has grinded a lot is MarineLord, the others are the ones who have no way to make good money from the ESL circuit or retired ones.I phrased it a bit bad, but I'm not really surprised that all the top players are trying it, especially the streamers. I'm more surprised almost none of the lower level players have tried to grind it.
When Valorant got released, almost all of the lower level CSGO players switched and grinded that game and now a big part of that scene is made from previous CSGO players who couldn't really make it as a pro there or were past their prime in CSGO. I expected something similar here, where a lot of the lower level pro's would at least give it a try to see if they'd fare better in AoE4.
Most of the "lower level" aoe2 players have lives and jobs, not all of them dropped out of high school to play video games like the top players. If the goal is to earn money, there are far better avenues than investing your days playing a video game with a quickly shrinking player base that isn't even enjoyable.Let's say that's all true, wouldn't it still be smart for lower level AoE2 players to get some money, possibly more than they could ever get by playing AoE2? This aged wellYo is looking incredibly good, well he always does. I love watching him
This aged well
This aged like fine milk. That explained a lot. Yo is absolutely demolishing opponents and playing extremely good so far. I'm expecting him to win the upper bracket over Lierrey. That guy plays amazing AoE2 with decision making.

, well he always does.
I still love watching him.. I love watching him
Maybe Vinch sucks at aoe4 so no one cared about how much he streamed it Kappathe most stupid thing about people celebrating "aoe4 player getting eliminated" is the fact that in November, Vinchester has streamed aoe4 for almost twice the time he has streamed aoe2
My prediction is wrong. I think Yo played well but not every game in quarterfinals, while Vinch definitely played stellar and outperformed Yo in the set. This aged like fine milk.
Tatoh is going to win, trustMy prediction is wrong. I think Yo played well but not every game in quarterfinals, while Vinch definitely played stellar and outperformed Yo in the set.
People got predictions wrong all time time, that's the nature of predictions. Are you going to comment "this aged well" for every wrong predictions?
Lierrey lost RBW5 -> reply this aged well on every post saying they think Lierrey will win
Hera lost to Vinch -> reply this aged well on every post who said Hera is gonna win
So if Jordan lost to Tatoh, are you gonna once again call out everyone who appreciated Jordan played amazing so far and predicted him to win? What's the point?
Why can't we just appreciate how well Yo played in group stage, and even more that Vinch bested him convincingly in quarters and brought some of the best AoE2 games to us
Yea. he is only top 50 player for sure . Oh I almost forgot he made it to quarters of the first S tier aoe 4 tournament receiving early access later than other players, not playing in the closed and open betas and only really grinding on ladder for 1 week. .....I find funny Hera situation. Dude is not that talented in RTS, he has to play one million games to get close to really talented players like Viper and Lierey.
So his choice is leaving the game he was finally good at to the side and play a game where he isnt even top 50???
I guess he is retiring as a competitive player to become a mediocre aoe4 streamer. Lets face it, trying to be the best is exhausting.
But fans and viewers preffer to watch the very top players. So once Viper comes back to twitch and dominates aoe4 scene, bye bye heras good viewer numbers.
