SuNo_Daywalker
Blotch: Do you think the DM scene is going strong at the moment?
SuNo_Daywalker: its having a mini revival due to the uprising but i dont think its enough to keep players active afterwords
Blotch: Would you like to see a major 1vs1 Tournament after The Uprising?
SuNo_Daywalker: yea personally i find 1v1 more fun than tgs and if i mess up i dont feel as bad :D
Blotch: Would you consider yourself as a major contender for a podium spot or perhaps a win?
SuNo_Daywalker: in 1v1 or the uprising?
Blotch: 1vs1
SuNo_Daywalker: in general i tend to finish in the top 3 of dm 1v1 tournaments and always feel as if i can win when im playing my best
Blotch: Do you think you could contend with Jidba, klvowedge, TheViper etc then?
SuNo_Daywalker: im preety sure ill give them tough games as for winning a series i dunno all 3 are strong players
Blotch: On the topic of TheViper, what do you think of all the RM players having a go at DM? - TheViper, RiuT, F1Re etc?
SuNo_Daywalker: i think its good and they are fast learners. makes it more interesting. more competition more games pushes up players performance. theres afew rmers such as spring and miguel who are also putting in some good dm performances . so yea im happy rmers are trying dm
Blotch: Would a potential DM World Championships interest you?
SuNo_Daywalker: yea certainly. even with no prize fund id sign up
Blotch: Do you think you'd train to get into top shape if there was some money and a "DM World Champion" tile at stake?
Blotch: Title*
SuNo_Daywalker: if i can get enough free time i have 2 kids and both me and my partner work so sometimes its hard to get into top shape
Blotch: And do you think that if there was money involved, there would be 32 or more top DM players ready to play in those championships?
SuNo_Daywalker: yea 32 would be filled easy
Blotch: Who would you predict to be the DM World Champion if you had to choose?
SuNo_Daywalker: well depends on the settings. i think viper could take it from jidba depending on civs
SuNo_Daywalker: but if i had to pick one id say jidba
Blotch: And who would you put in the Top 5 in the world right now?
SuNo_Daywalker: jidba kellan viper next 2 is tricky alot of close skilled players but id go with praxes and myself
SuNo_Daywalker: riut would be there if he practices
Blotch: Do you think that if Priest came back he would be able to compete with all the current top players?
SuNo_Daywalker: yea he could compete but i think jidba viper kellan would be too strong
Blotch: Well that’s all, thanks!
SuNo_Daywalker: nps thx for the interview

Blotch: Do you think the DM scene is going strong at the moment?
Interdimension: well it depends I guess
Interdimension: but in general terms its good I think
Blotch: Do you think The Uprising will ignite some interest?
Interdimension: I think it already had quite alot
Interdimension: but imo
Interdimension: if the community knows there will be regular dm tournaments
Interdimension: only then people will stick to it
Interdimension: and only then will it grow.
Interdimension: this is only temporary probably
Blotch: Do you think a "Death Match World Championships" with a > $1000 prize pool would be successful?
Interdimension: hmm, I would personally like the idea very much
Interdimension: but to call it success it requires bigger capital I would assume
Blotch: Do you think you could contend for a podium position or even a win in such a tournament? You've been pretty strong recently
Interdimension: well it depends
Interdimension: how much I can practice I think
Interdimension: and the other players playing it
Blotch: Do you think you could contend with players like Jidba, TheViper, Kellan etc?
Interdimension: They are all really good players. But motivation is important in DM, so you never know
Blotch: Do you think there are many new players joining the DM scene?
Interdimension: I think DM community has been stable in terms of numbers for some time
Interdimension: it was really going down for a while, but then the people left and started acquired a balance
Blotch: Do you think a DM tournament similar to Polaris would attract new players?
Interdimension: You mean the challenge series?
Blotch: Yes
Interdimension: Yes I think it would
Blotch: Do you think it might convince more RM players to have a go at DM?
Interdimension: Yes, indeed they will have more chance to play than the RM'ers since the event itself is based on votes and community is mostly RM
Interdimension: than the DM'ers**
Blotch: Yeah, that's true.
Blotch: That's all, thanks!
Interdimension: Np

[QuEnDi]L3af
Blotch: Do you think the DM scene is going strong at the moment?
L3af: its only going strong right now because of the dm tourney
Blotch: So do you think that after The Uprising it will die down?
L3af: dm activity goes up during summer time and tournaments, afterwards it will always die down again
Blotch: What's your opinion on a potential "Death Match World Championships"?
L3af: IMO, dm consist of mostly 2k+ or -1750 players
L3af: 2k+ players come back when theres tournaments
L3af: most of the time its just -1750 players
Blotch: Do you think a DM series similar to the Polaris Bo9 would be beneficial for DM?
L3af: as for dm world champs thing, maybe it can bring dm activity
L3af: i think it should be advertised to rmers than just dmers
L3af: only way for dm to have lots of activity is when rmers bring it
Blotch: What do you think is needed to trigger consistent DM activity?
L3af: bring in new players and reward them
L3af: bring in rmers, teach them dm, and reward them
L3af: dm only has pros that come back for money tournaments
Blotch: Perhaps a weekly DM Bo5 challenge with a small cash prize?
L3af: that is a great idea
L3af: but then you'll just have pros comeback to take money haha
L3af: we need to reward upcoming players
L3af: not old pros
Blotch: Maybe different categories for different ratings?
L3af: that would help for sure
_Jidba
Blotch: There's a lot of DM going on at the moment, do you think it will die down after The Uprising?
_Jidba: Die is a bad word to use , of course a good tournament with prize gives motivation so more playing , and of course when nothing going on the things going down , especially in an old game like AoC
Blotch: Do you think that a weekly Bo5/Bo7 series in "Winner stays on" format would be beneficial for DM?
_Jidba: Yea i find that a great idea .
Blotch: Do you think it would bring new people into the Death Match scene?
_Jidba: Thats always a possibility when you are doing things but at least it will motivate the current players. The main ''problem'' is that AoC is a previous decade game and the younger people are stuck in other games. You know where the fashion is. So we cannot expect AoC to compete with other newer games in such things. But any action is welcome and can help a lot !
Blotch: Do you think a really big DM tournament with a prize would motivate players to have a go a DM?
_Jidba:As i kinda said in my previous words it will give some interest for sure. But in an old game the things have taken its place. There are the better players and it seems like a huge mountain for someone new to try compete with them. So for me its more like motivation to the current players or the ones with the potential to compete in top spots. Of course it would be great to motivate some new players and rise new stars but its really rare anymore .
Blotch: What do you think will happen when all the top players move on? Will there be enough young talent to replace them?
_Jidba: Everything in life has a start and an end. I dunno when the top players move on. In 5 years in 10 years in 20 years? It always depends, but in my opinion this game is doing its last good period. I hope it is gonna be a long period !
Blotch: Do you think that if AoC can get a bit more publicity then the community will grow again?
_Jidba: Hah i feel i m answering the same question differently spelled ^^ . Any action is welcome and can help a lot ! so yes !
Blotch: Anyway, back to DM - what's your opinion on the RM players such as Spring, Miguel and BruH having a go at DM and playing really well?
_Jidba: I really enjoy them rocking ^^
Blotch: Do you think that if they practice enough then they could compete with the top DM players like you and Kellan?
_Jidba: Whoever really wants it and work hard can make it ! The question is do they really want it and willing to practise hard for it ? Anything is possible but not easy .
Blotch: That's all, thanks for your time!
_Jidba: You are welcome!
