Argenta: First of all thanks for letting me interview you Capoch, will be surely awesome to remember old times and read the experiences from a great player, Can you tell a bit about your personal life?
Capoch: Hi! sure, i'm working and studying right now, playing StarCraft II in my spare time, and looking forward to graduate so I can have more time to spend in stuff i like! :P
Argenta: for play only in your spare time, I can see you have become a Top Player in SC2 jaja, what do hope to graduate?
Capoch: Jajaja, yeah I feel like i can be a lot more best in SC2 if only i have the enough time, but that would mean quit my job and join a Pro-team with salary.. and that's quite hard, and even more if you are latin. I'm going to graduate as Business Administrator.
Argenta:Do you play any other game different of SC2?
Capoch: At the moment, I don't, but i would like to, there are so many great games.. but isn't the ideal for me, I have enough addiction with SC2..
Argenta: Do you practice any sport? Have girlfriend? or what do you do in your spare time?
Capoch: I'm in the GYM (or i try to jaja, just like two times peer week) and I do cayac one time peer week. Girlfriend at the moment i don't have, and in my spare time I use to play a while, have some rest, "Boludeo" a while, or I hang out with friends.
About AoC
Argenta: When did you start playing AoC? When/why did you quit?
Capoch: Ufff a thousand of years ago jaja I started playing AoK in 2000 and AoC in 2001, I remember started with my brother with AoK in zone, We used to play Black Forest jajaja, get a higher rated was so complicated, then my brother quit playing and I keep it because I felt in love with the game, I miss a lot AoC, I had very good moments with AoC..
I quit AoC around middle of 2004, because i concentrated in WarCraft III and AoM/AoT, it was really hard to keep playing on a top level in three games.
Argenta: Have you ever consider been a pro-gamer? I can see every game you start playing you became top!
Capoch: Yes, that's an idea I always have in mind for SC2, but as I said, I have to join a pro-team so I can overcome with the salary.. Travel around the world to compete in offline tournaments as also the ones I compete online, in that case I would be able to quit my job.. but I haven't received such an offer like that.
Argenta: Are ever going to come back to AoC?
Capoch: Maybe to have some fun with a couple of games, but dedicate time to improve my skills, i dont think so.. but you never know
Argenta: Tell us, What do you love about AoC?
Capoch: I love hun wars! they were so complete, also i liked to play 2v2v2v2 migration jajaja I liked to learn the stratigies of the game in each map, the game have it all.. good economy and good fight, to be top it requires to have a good micro and also a good macro, that's what it made it so good.
Argenta: Comparing, for example, SC2 with AoC, which game you think is better and why?
Capoch: Hmmm, the global community of AoC is a lot more tiny and the competition too, SC2 is very similar to AoC, in fact, I think if someone was a top in AoC, probably he would be very good or top in SC2. However SC2 is a futurist game, and I love historic game
Argenta: I read that the versatility of AoC is much better than compared to SC2, is that true?
Capoch: Not exactly, in AoC every map have it strategies but just a few and in SC2 they are infinite.. the variety of units I think it's a little bit more in SC2
Argenta: How was AoC scene in Argentina?
Capoch: Small but good one, normal level i think, We never had a WCG of AoC in Argentina, sadly, so I think that's why it wasn't a big scene
Argenta: Talking about big tournaments, did u ever travel to play AoC or any other game? Which Tournament have been the most exciting you ever played?
Capoch: Specifically for AoC i just traveled Brasil (now I think it's kinda weird isn't it? jaja) with AoM I traveled to Korea, and with AoC was the game I played more online tournaments ever and enjoyed a lot of tourneys, like legionary of th month or best legionary of the year was so cool too! Also MFO tournaments use to liked, there was 1 or 2 tournaments peer week which kept me busy jaja
Argenta: Wow! it must be a great experience! Wich game have been the most memorable/funniest you ever played?
Capoch: The first it came to my mind was an arabia game against RD_Champion, were we fight in feudal for more than 45 minutes! It was really incredible! I remember my brother was next to me watching and I pressing all the keys of the keyboard I couldn't do more, was a madness jaja then i watched like 5 times the rec.. must be because was the most exciting and funniest game I ever played
(Note: You can check the game here, Slayers_Boxer aka RD_Champion.)
Argenta: Wow sounds really exciting, I will search for the rec so everyone can see it! What do you recommend to practice AoC.. 1v1, team games, certain civs/maps, watching records?
Capoch: Hard training, studying recs and keep learning every map
Argenta: When you was learning, who was your idol? the one you always wanted to watch his recs and why?
Capoch: I used to watch Koven recs and from other guys I don't remember right now, then when i became good, I watched recs of my main rivals like Daut and Chris
Argenta: Thanks for the interview we are about to end after this last question, describe us in one word how was you play style back in AoC?
Capoch: My style have been always aggressive, like FWD's :P i like to push fast jajajaja Send me the link of the interview after post it!
