Everyone seems to hate this civ so much. The number one objection to them from people seems to be their shitty EEW. But their EEW are the least that this civ has to offer.
People are constantly comparing them to Aztec or Mayan eagles, but Inca EEW are not intended to be used in the same way at all. They are siege killers, and that is it. They move faster than any unit in the game, and will have no problem closing the gap against onnies, scorpions etc. They die quickly if you try to raid with them, so don't raid with them as if you were a meso civ. Even if they do end up dying, a handful of these taking out multiple siege onnies is a very good trade. Needless to say, the same can be said when fighting massed skirms.
Their bonuses are really good. Houses supporting 10 population is amazing, as you will never get housed unless you are stupid, and you will save wood. You can also start gathering food quicker at the start of the game, as you can have 2 vils build only one house, and the third can immediately start on your lama, unless you want to scout with it. Because you have the free lama, you can scout with it if you wish, otherwise, having a bad start is almost impossible. The combination of cheaper stone buildings and vils benefiting from blacksmith upgrades yields a superior trush. People tend to write off these bonuses as being nerfed Huns, Spanish etc bonuses. They are not. In the case of the Huns, the Huns do have a superior bonus, but Incas still save wood and can wall with houses. In the case of Spanish, that is ridiculous. The Spanish supremacy is not a bonus; it is a technology, and is only accessible in imp, where the Inca bonus kicks in immediately, or at least as soon as you get a blacksmith.
Their tech tree is amazing. They have every eco tech other than the last lumber upgrade. ...Just take a look at their tree yourself.
UU are amazing. Slingers are like HC but available in castle age, pretty self-explanatory. Kamayuks are the only units other than elite mangudai that will counter paladins. And not just counter... they will completely shred through massed palas. And they are incredibly cheap and quick to create. They also have no problem taking down buildings.
If you hate this civ, try them out again, and don't try to play them like a meso civ. I honestly think they play a lot more like Teutons than Aztec or Mayans. Trebuchets guarded by massed Kamayuk will allow you to really push with them, with some EEW just to remove siege. There are many other benefits of this civ that I did not even mention.
