When it comes to playing 1v1 AOC online I don't just suck...I REALLY suck!
At this moment, parents are showing their young children how to hold a computer mouse for the first time so they can immediately go online and play me in a game and score their first win.
I guess I'm at least good for instilling confidence in the inexperienced.
I love AOC. I love playing AOC. When I watch live streams or recordings of games I know exactly what a player should do.
But when I play I might as well send all my villagers to stand in front of the enemies town center.
Any knowledge that I might have leaves my brain. I begin to drool and forget how to move my fingers.
I watch in horror as my helpless civilization dies in front of me.
I think I actually saw some of my Knights turn their heads and look at me in disgust.
The better players who accidentally play me are generally kind and ask if they should take it easy on me.
I do seem to win their respect when I tell them to just go for it, because I need to learn to deal with it.
Boy do they go for it.
The less skilled players just enjoy the slaughter.
But I'll keep at it.
I intend to eventually get good enough that someone won't be embarrassed to be defeated by me.
