boar stealing is way too effective. It was a big problem in 1.0c. It's a disaster in AoFE. This is mostly based on scouting luck, not skill.
laming people's TC wood (put building over it. cancel building. tree is gone) makes mill-first too risky. Finding the enemy TC to do this is based on luck, not skill.
Note that going mill first and getting boars before the enemy steals them go hand in hand.
also it's worsened when civs aren't balanced (and they aren't). Just getting 1 militia out and killing enemy deer provides too great a bonus. This is based on map layout luck + civ luck, not player skill.
it's especially problematic on these new 'fairer' maps. Played the new Arabia with my boar closer to the enemy's TC than mine...
The point is players do not have anywhere near equal opportunity to exploit these asymmetries even if you wanted to make the game about who can lame better. Too much luck makes it too unfair.
