I used to play a bunch of BF on HD where I would just boom up and attack at like min 40 with a giant army but recently I've been watching please be gentle's stream and he rushes all the time. How the hell does it work?? I mean if you try and sneak that means you are pretty much -1 vil and there is the risk of dying to wolves. Then you have to to damage and you opponent will obviously know if you try for feudal attack (because of uptime). Also, HOW THE **** DOES THAT 3 STABLE SCOUTS EVEN WORK!??! In castle it is really easy to defend from knights with just tcs and a few monks. Trushing to get through an enemy's walls makes sense but isn't it very risky. I mean if he can get a stone wall up behind it then you're pretty much screwed and once in castle, siege can easily take the towers out. What other units would you make? I get how monk rush and fast imp with gunpowder work because that can take down buildings and stuff. I mean I've drushed and flushed on some of those really open maps but I'm thinking more about the average BF map that is easily wallable.
I guess what I really want to know is how do you know that you will do enough damage with your rush?
