The standard of proof for any wrong doing has to be higher than assuming it happened because it could happen. In regards to conflict of interest, the same logic that may apply to public institutions may not necessarily apply to private organizations. There can be cases where the person with supposed "conflict of interest" may be desired.
You realize that GL as an org being awarded significantly more sponsorship $ during Nili's role (including ToootS/GL planned tourney that was announced shirtly after he resigned,) isn't something that is "unknown," or subject to ambiguity, right?
You keep saying burden of proof like the hundreds of thousands to GL or GL members over that time period didn't happen.
There was an attempt to disguise the order of the sheep as not MS funds being provided for GL tourneys, but only barely.
It is the definition of a conflict of interest, something Nili acknowledged in the video he made when he took the role years ago. If someone wrote a dissertation on the subject I bet most would simply say they don't care based on this way of thinking.
