Yet another 10/10 thread with all the same discussions.
What we all can sum up is:
5.0 is better than any patch than before, yet has quite a few major drawbacks.
Its vulnerable to wifi, bad internet quality (or shared internet with many others) and you need to ensure open ports and preferably play only with your own region (by the way, this is not a 100% rule. Sometimes I play with players from brazil (im from EU) and its no problems at all). EU with US/canada works mostly fine, but just one region alone is generally better.
The game is poorly optimized, and you need a fairly strong pc to run the game smoothly.
1v1 seems to be working perfectly fine now for the most part.
4v4 tgs is better, but you need good connection with those you play with and there are still desync problems. Sometimes the voting screen pops up ruining your entire session and you cant always save and restore. Sometimes if a player drops and you save, the game slot is not available for the player who dropped.
compared to 4.9 the stutter problems are a lot better, pathing is still unreliable and there are many weird issues going on.
The problem I feel is people try to make the argument that HD is either 100% **** or 100% smooth with no existing issues.
There is still a method to playing on hd (be picky about who you play with), and then you'll generally have a great gaming experience.
EDIT: by the way, if things run just fine (everyone has good pc, good connection and no other problems), then HD runs just as smooth as voobly in teamgames, though voobly is obviously more forgiving. 1v1 the platforms are pretty simliar right now.
