Tim vs Dogao 2-0
Arena
Aztec war where dogao attempts to gain control of the middle in an attempt to secure a distinct advantage in relics comes up short when Tim manages to secure two of them. Further aided by the extra gold in the back of his base, Tim still has a comfortable sum of 5k+ gold as dogao resigns.
Continental
Viking grush war results in a win for Tim as dogao sees that his map will not allow him to compete without protection from sea.
Summary: After beginning the league 0-2, Tim has made a move towards the top half of the competition, he now lies 1 point out of the 4-way tie for 2nd place.
Jordan vs Daut 2-0
Arena
Mayan war that Daut starts with three relics inside his control, and he makes no attempt at securing the others. Both players boom until Imperial and engage in a Treb war that develops into a lengthy Plume/Ram war with Jordan finishing on top
Migration
Viking war that Jordan uses speed to Castle Age and effective micromanagement of ships to secure the game at '22.
Summary: Jordan uses this 2-0 score to play catch-up and is now part of the 4-way tie for 2nd place along with Daut.
Chris vs Ming 1-1
Arena
Mayan war, with Ming electing to fwd a castle on Chris' wall. Chris responds with a castle of his own, blocking Ming's path to his economy and electing to go for a fast Imperial, clicking up at '20. Chris takes advantage of the middle and begins his attack on the base of Ming, while Ming makes a transition to Elite Skirmishers for defense. Neither player made any sort of move for relics until quite late for this map, with Ming taking them for himself after defending the Chris' attack. Chris gives the GG at '59.
Islands
Viking war that Chris puts on a true sea clinic. As he notices that Ming placed his docks in back, he adds a round of fishing boats to boost his economy knowing that he can balance the numbers of a potential fight with the time it will take Ming to travel to his docks. By doing this, he is able to advance several minutes faster that Ming and take control of water. Ming tries to beat Chris to Imperial to get back on sea and even up the map, and it works - for a second. Chris has landed and advances seconds later, Ming resigns.
Summary: By securing a point in the match, Chris joins the tie for 2nd.
Viper vs Feage 2-0
Regicide Fortress
Mayan war, and Feage opts to wall his map as opposed to getting into a more traditional Plume raiding war at the outset of Castle age. Viper runs an untouched economy to Imperial, and places Castles on the hill outside of Feages base to support his attack. After reaching Imperial and using Trebs to knock out Feage's front Castle, Viper does not give up control of the match.
Arabia
Feage takes Aztecs and Viper selects Mayans. Viper pulls off an impressive double boar steal to help reduce Feage's ability to use the Aztecs powerful drush. Viper does his own 4 militia drush to help keep the action near Feage's base while he is able to take advantage of his map and the Mayans cheap walls to secure his base while advancing to Castle age. Feage attempts to rush the base of Viper but it proves too difficult as Viper had already advanced. Viper takes the fighting to Feage's base where his Crossbows make surviving too difficult for Feage, white flag at '25.
Summary: Viper takes his 3rd set of three rounds so far, and a commanding 5 point lead in the league. If this type of conquest continues, we may all be speaking Norwegian soon.
