So the game is out for some months. The first patches our out. The first tournements are done. So what is the general opinion about DE? Lets move to DE? Go back to Voobly? ...?

Unfortunately, DE is a neccesary evil. AOE2 as it stand is a 20 yr old game and just can't attract new player and a stable player base.
There is no glamor in playing a 20 yr old game. Enter DE, albeit exacly same as AOE2, they have introduced new elements to make it feel like a new game.
5 yrs from now, would you rather play a 5 yr old "DE" game or "25 yr old" game.
That is painting with a broad, judgmental brush. There are a lot of people who enjoy DE who are vocal about it here; calling them all sellouts or fanboys is just as helpful or truthful as your comment.People who enjoy DE play on DE.
People who don't spend their day whining on AoE zone.
If they could get down the essential things such as unit pathing, idling of vils, and basic QoL to improve the matchmaking -- maybe it will some day be a good game. Until then we're all not kidding everyone trying to push the new game on everyone -- it has serious problems that are currently unresolved -- but we'll keep playing in hopes it improves.

I see they chose same solution for military units as well… instead of correcting this pathfinding once and for all.
+ I love Shift + # to add units to control group (this wasn't available at least in HD, right?)

Curious, I don't want to dispute any of your points hereI can't go back. I can see the animation frames in the old game now. I never want to reseed farms ever again. I love queuing villagers through various tasks (such as build two houses, finish the mill, and then go to this specific berry bush, which is all doable now with queues). I don't have to babysit vills under the TC now as I can just queue them through sheep. I don't have to add military buildings to control groups anymore to utilize MQ, I simply use the "Select All X Building" hotkey. I love being able to queue up multiple techs as well as units all at the same time in a single building. I love not having to swap the minimap to see how many vills I have on each resource. I love matchmaking and being able to play the civs I want to play.
I DID post angrily on the hotfix post on the official website, but that was purely out of frustration that the devs would release an update that broke a game that was otherwise functional. That shouldn't happen. At worst it should reach the public through a test build that people can opt to play and provide feedback on. I have a feeling that the devs wrote test cases, implemented code that passed the test cases, and then pushed the update without checking to see that everything not covered by the test cases was still functioning. Again, imo, that SHOULD NOT happen. But I have faith that they'll fix it and all will be well in time.

If WK added all the DE Quality of Life stuff that you listed(which they are going to do)
which platform would you consider to be better and why?
