Hi AOCzone,
this is my first post since I got into AoC, which is thanks to Dreams stream. It made me instantly a fan and interested in the competetive AoC scene. And since I'm german the first cool thing I noticed was that there is a german player in the current world's top 3, Jordan. Of course that also made me instantly a fan, downloading a ton of his recorded games.
But back to topic:
When the first showmatch ended , between Jordan and Daut, there was suddenly the topic about Jordan (maybe both) being very nervous because of the stream. I can understand this issue since AoC plaayers are not used being watched by thousands of viewers, unlike Starcraft 2 players who are all used to it by now.
What I intend to do with this post, is to try help them with this issue and probably take it away from them and especially Jordan because I want him to win.
The viewers should be the source of your strength and not affect your nerves too much. Because if there are suddenly a lot of people watching you, that mean there will be your fans too. Fans who love you for you playstyle/skill/personality. Altough this could lead to another issue, the issue of pressuring yourself too much because you don't want to disappoint your fans. Don 't do so, because there is a difference in winning and trying your best.
Even if you lose, your true fans will still love because they know and see that you try your best. That's all they want!
Simply because if you try your best, win will come naturally anyway. And of course sometimes you cant even do your best for whatsoever reason, we are only humans afterall. Your fans and everybody with a brain will understand that.
So all the new viewers you have, are not all completly stranger looking critically at you, some of them, no matter if they are many or just a few, are you fans ! Fans who want to give you strength. Fans who love you no matter what, fans who are happy when you are, screaming after wins when you are and who are sad when you are. Think of them as supporters and embrace the support! Gain your strength from us and not your weakness. We will be there for you guys everytime!
Jordan fighting !!!!!
peace out
