2. Remove map resets for: early enemy scouts, player's golds piles in front of base and surrounded by forests. Keep resets for: forest directly in front of your base (pause then admin decision), bugged resources
3. Add 1 free restart for bo3 and bo5 series, 2 free restarts for bo7 (within 2 minutes)
(free restart = restart regardless of reason)
1. This rule is made for specific reasons. The tournament format wanna embrace the aggressive playstyle and avoid hill camp situations with siege that can snipe trebs/units. It is also a small tribute to aok franks war that siege wasnt allowed as a typical community rule back then.
Sounds like this could be a very nice and interesting tournament.
Some suggestions...
Restarts
The amount of restart possibilities is just crazy... scrap the rule about enemy scout reaching base and forest in front of base. Surrounded by forest - I've never seen this.
Restart for gold locked in forest and gold all in front of base - okay.
However, if players mutually consent to a restart then that is fine for any scenario.
Civs
Every round is biased to huns and franks
I think it would be better if game 1 and 2 for every round was each player's home civ choice (out of the 6 civs allowed), then round decider could be pre-chosen civ like huns/franks or whatever
Building/units
Walls should be allowed to help players prevent rush at start of game, when a player puts 3 stone wall around vil building a castle for example. I don't see this as being a problem.
No onager/scorpion rule is good.... I think that bombard cannon would still be okay. I don't see that this could adversely affect the gameplay.
I don't see the benefit of not being able to build outposts. Should be allowed.
Everything else is good... reminds me of the style of tournament that used to be played back in the day on MSN Zone.
is there any limit on axeman in fw?
If no than without siege there might be a lot of axe fagging which might ruin the fun especially when the game goes long in fw
I find the inclusion of Magyars a little odd since from my (admittedly very limited) experience as a viewer they seemed to be the most campy and boring of the Cav civs, due to the awful siege, amazing siege sniping abilities, great HCA for camping hills and bad slow halbs that can't push them off well. The civ overall just seems to tend towards the opposite of the fast dynamic gameplay that the tournament is promoting.
Is my opinion of the civ just misguided or are they included for some more variety?
Really looking forward to watching this, regardless!

Its fine without any number limits in axeman ! There is always a counter !
Magyars are fine to play with paladins and hussars from castles as well to raid and rush. Ofc CA is the power unit here but its ok ~ huns as well have mass ca in many cases for example
Obviously each civ have the strong and weak points but thats it !
