Hello,
I'm having a problem with my age of empires game and I need help.
Here's the situation: When I am in Single Player, I have a constant 67FPS. No matter what happens, no matter what I do, it never ever changes.
However, in multiplayer, even against an AI, I get low FPS (20s 30s and 40s) and the game is unplayable. BUT, when I press my mouse button and move the mouse, my FPS becomes very high and good and I can feel the game being smooth. One thing that I noticed is that when I click my mouse, the cursor disappears. However, thats not a big deal. The big deal is the really low FPS.
I've tried ALL the options (DirectX, Resolution Tool, Windows compatibility) and nothing has changed anything. I've tried uninstalling the game and trying the AoeHD Compatibility patch and still no improvement.
I would really appreciate some help in the matter.
My computer is an i7 intel CPU with 8gb ram, ssd hard drive, freshly installed windows 7. I have all the updated drivers for all my hardware.
Thank you
Here's a video of the problem. (notice the FPS in the top left corner)
