Hello everyone,
Basically everyone is aware about several tournaments that are going on and being streamed by commentators on Vooblyofficial twitch. Tournaments as you all know are also played in a separate lobby (tournament lobby) however players are not allowed to spectate the games and are forced to watch the Voobly twitch stream because of it. Not everyone wants to watch the twitch stream due to several reasons, these include:
- Viewers are forced to watch from the commentators point of view, rather than focusing and watching a section they would want themselves.
- Sometimes small parts that interest another player are missed because they don't interest the commentator.
- Don't like the commentators or prefer not to have someone talking/shouting while they watch a game, don't give BS about muting the stream because muting it still creates more issues such as the ones above.
This post is to argue between allowing players to spectate, AFK spectators would not be an issue as there is a kick spectators option, also cheating wouldn't really occur in chats as there's a spectator delay and the players that are currently in game will just set their status to "Do not disturb" which prevents anyone or even themselves from communicating in chats.
If someone really wanted to cheat they could easily Skype their mate or screen watch from the stream which is very simple to do. Also I can understand if personally players don't want spectators other than their friends then it's fine, however some players don't mind spectators meaning spectators should not be denied access of spectating live games because watching a recording is not the same as a live spectate due to either scores are known/spoiled or it takes more effort to get the recording in. I request that players who enter the tournament with the mind set of wanting to spectate be granted access rather than being forced to watch a stream they don't want to if the players playing don't mind.
