Hi everyone. I have been watching records of water map. I came across the term Fish Boom. Any one can explain me what it mean and how do we do it? I mean can someone give example of how to fish boom. what should be Imperial Age time etc.
I am by no means a water expert, but the basic idea is to put a large proportion of villagers on wood, so that fishing boats can be massed, bringing in tons of food. This is faster than a standard boom for several reasons:
Fishing ships gather food from deep water faster than any other food source except Mongol hunting.
A higher proportion of your villagers are concentrated on wood, and fishing ships don't require food, allowing you to get both wood and food faster.
You can mass docks earlier and cheaper than you can mass TCs.
Of course, your opponent, knowing all this, will likely send warships your way to kill your fishing economy. This means you must either attack him first or get a navy in place to defend.
Mini fishing boom or fishing boom is played most of the times only by pockets on team games, but in 1x1 you may do it to in like Team Islands.
Important things to know are that you should back dock, do 2 or 3 docks near your fish and nostop pumping fishboats... Fishing boom isnt a hard thing, you should only know when to do it or not, thats the hard thing. If your both flanks tell you to fish boom is beacouse they are winning and kind of can hold enemy pocket a while. So just go a lot of fishs with back dock and try to Imp, with not many TCs, maybe 1 or 2 and pump galleys already while you are upping.
Cya hope it helped
