It took them 8 months to fix the invisible lobby glitch.
If each player gets 2 bans in 4v4 then there wont be any map left to play unless u have at least 17 maps.Never mentioned feature to ban all of maps except one. More bans, to ban 2-3 maps you really hate.
Also map bans are not as important as civ/positions picking.
Ornlu said in his video about the test version that originally CA had 1.3 delay and that was reduced to 1.15. If thats true then +0.02 might as well be nothing.Sadly CA are nerfed again
It is concrete news compared to what we have been getting so far. There are multiple threads daily, literally, in Reddit or forums or zone. There is a mega thread in forums with 1.4k comments that has been active for more than 1 year. The fact that they even acknowledged this problem is a concrete news for me. Your expectations of devs seems to be unrealistic.concrete news? There are no concrete news, just that they wil address the issue...
Then why do it? Could it be that they miscalculated in the previous patch and are just correcting the discrepancy and pretending it's an update? It just seems like such a random and unnecessary move especially if it's as small as you're suggesting.Ornlu said in his video about the test version that originally CA had 1.3 delay and that was reduced to 1.15. I don't like where this is going... It seems they are going for the "easy" fix (punishing alt + f4) instead of fixing the underlying issue... Less players will want to play if they are forced to play stupid 2hr+ long maps like amazon tunnel.
and not to mention sometimes people dodge simply because they get teammates they dislike/of low elo... and result in waste of 8 players' time tooUugh. Amazon Tunnel is not the only map people dodge. Nomad, Islands, any closed map that doesnt even usually go beyond 1h or sometimes even arabia. I do agree that punishing players isnt the right solution, but don't paint queue dodging as a justified action. If u play ranked be ready to play different maps.
What about all the people who have quit because of altf4s and elo inflation? 1 player quits out of 8, so it is okay if that 1 toxic player stops playing. STOP PAINTING DODGERS AS VICTIMS ALREADY.I'm wondering if punishing Alt+F4 people at this point won't lead them to simply start quitting the game after it had already started,
I rly do hope they take this into consideration, atleast they already pointed out that ppl could find new ways to abuse the system.I'm wondering if punishing Alt+F4 people at this point won't lead them to simply start quitting the game after it had already started, ignoring potential ELO loss
If they do that i will stop playing unless i have a full party, meaning that no more solo queue for me which was what i used to play often when i had time and wanted to play without discord, silly decisions like that are only going to increase queue times, way more unfair matches cause of the lack of players and people dropping or resigning early.I'm wondering if punishing Alt+F4 people at this point won't lead them to simply start quitting the game after it had already started, ignoring potential ELO loss
People have gotten used to at this point to not caring about TG ELO so it's not like losing some of it could stop them
I'm really happy that they are trying to address the TG issues, but I'm not sure if with how utterly broken the system is right now if it can be fixed by just tweaking some stuff.
How is it longer queue times? Will the queues be 30m long? Cause that's what the queues are with the altf4s. I dont understand this logic at all. 1/8 player dodges the queue. If that player is banned, then we still have 7/8th of the playerbase. This will decrease the queue time since there is no atlf4s.Players should never bear the brunt of a poorly made matchmaking system, regardless of moral hazard impact on others. If the problem is to be resolved the system would need modified and it is readily apparent that there is no intent and/or budget to do so. Thus, rather than acknowledge flaws with the system or attempts to improve it, blame for the resulting system is to be deflected upon the user, with very likely limited if any investment for a system solution.
In the end people will get they want, less alt f4's at a seemingly obvious cost of inevitably of longer queue times.
Exactly. And that's even considering all the alt+f4ckers will leave the game, which I reaaaaally doubt. Somehow I just don't see those guys playing on Voobly. How is it longer queue times? I agree that the solution is a complete redesign of the system. But, lets be realistic. It took them so long to even acknowledge the issue officially. So, lets be glad something is being done and stop defending atlf4ers.
And there's probably quite a few people that have given up on TG ladder that might come back once ALT+F4 won't be an issue anymore.Exactly. And that's even considering all the alt+f4ckers will leave the game, which I reaaaaally doubt. Somehow I just don't see those guys playing on Voobly.

I bet most of those guys don't know what a voobly is.Exactly. And that's even considering all the alt+f4ckers will leave the game, which I reaaaaally doubt. Somehow I just don't see those guys playing on Voobly.
Unrealistic but not unreasonable.Your expectations of devs seems to be unrealistic.
All they say is that they are trying to fix this issue, but no details on how to fix it?!
Standards for their performance are quite low. They have neglected acknowledging it for so long that even doing so is now seen as a positive step. All they say is that they are trying to fix this issue, but no details on how to fix it?!
I opened this thread to read how they will fix it. This message doesn't say a lot.
