These last 2 days I've been playing around with a new streaming alternative called FFsplit.
http://www.ffsplit.com/
So why make this thread? 'cause I want to recommend this splendid piece of software. It basically gives the same funtionality as Xsplit, which most of us are familiar with I guess. The BIG difference is that it's completely free. So no need to buy a license. Furthermore it has no locked features such as fps, resolution or the terrible non-premium audio Xsplit has. It comes with 1080p, 320kbps Audio and 30+fps out of the box. :D
If you're already interested after reading that, wait till u hear the real kicker. It uses way less resources than Xsplit. If u've tried streaming before with Xsplit u'll notice that your pc starts lagging bigtime (or less for those with monster pc's).
Well not so with FFsplit, this gem let's you stream while having way less lag on ur pc.
So if u stream and have some nasty slowdown on ur pc u might wanna try this software.
I hope that some people who've had trouble streaming in the past give this a go and see if they can a stream up and running now. The more the merrier right?
