Note: I'm talking about an actual fast castle, not a drush fast castle.
My question is: is it ever worth it?
Let's say you have an easy (full) wall or you stole a boar or even 4 deer close to your town center or mill. Is it always better to use your advantage to get a stronker feudal position or is it sometimes worth it to go castle??
On one hand you can lose your feudal pretty quickly. Like the other day I saw Viper playing Vs. Wonder. Wonder was mongols and stole a boar from Viper, so double advantage. He did many scouts, but quickly lost his advantage due to some bad fights (britneys and such). And yes, it's Viper we're talking about, but still.
But one the other hand when you're fast casteling, you give him an army advantage and map control. He'll have more archers out than you or a nice mass vs your knights and he can tower your wood/gold.
Maybe an exception when you know he won't be able to raid you at all and you lose little time on walling, how rare that situation may be?
