It is unfortunate that group stage has suffered so many admin wins, mostly because players became inactive as schools and universities began, or they lost interest after playing the maps. However, Final Stage is getting closer and we strongly believe that the most exciting part of the tournament has yet to begin.
First of all, there are some changes to be announced:
Due to the fact that there are a number of teams that joined the tournament after its start (to replace the teams that quit), there will be one extra week after round 7 so that these teams can finish the rounds they had missed. All other teams that still have matches to play can use this extra week to finish them.
32 teams will advance to Final Stage (4 from each group) so that those teams that didn't have many opportunities to play in group stage (due to the proliferation of AWs) can fully enjoy the tournament. Final Stage brackets will be announced at the end of the extra week (on Sunday).
Furthermore, to make up for the absence of recorded games that group stage should have provided, slight changes have been made to the number of maps in Final Stage:
1/16 Finals:
