No matter how perfect Viper/Jordan plays with Korea (even after taking time to train), he is going to lose pretty much 8-9/10 games as Korea vs Huns. Thats how interesting it is. With Korea vs Aztec, that would change to 10/10 probably.Actually Viper or jordan one having korea and the other having huns it could be interesting, viper don't like walls, but using stone walls as korean in 1x1 vs a fast rush civ like huns can be the answer to survive the initial attack, from there korea can just use trash wait till get enough power to win, i know how hard is try to play in same circumstances vs civs with eco bonuses, but thats why we have stone walls and thats why ES decided to make them build so fast, i know in some open maps the disadvantages will be notorious but to master one civ in different maps you need to lose several games and thats my point, ppl doesn't like to lose games or points thats way they don't try, now with less players after 15 years no one wants to try something new all they want is reduce the chances of losing.
AOC IS BALANCED!
There are so many game variations (maps, game types, 1v1/tg), and ALL civs have a place where they shine and a place where they don't.
AND
on Any given map, there are multiple civs that can contend.
That was the intent from the beginning, and is probably why this game has been fun for so many years, and still appealing to new players.
Aztecs will usually take off all relics and arrive in imp with much better shape and complete map control vs koreans, which is if koreans make it to the imp at all.. similar things go for koreans vs huns mayans celts viks goths and such civs in AOC.Why are you understimating koreans so badly, aztks/huns/mayans are very easy to use, the rest of the civs with less bonuses are harder to explode, there are less recs of experts using them properly in 1x1 wich means the strats are less pulled,in a late game escenario koreans will rape aztks, huns and mayans with ease, this is a matter of perspective there a lot of maps where koreans can wall and hold on and reach imperial age, im not saying they are better than aztks or huns, but in some maps their firepower is OP.
Anyways as you can see ppl agreed that an expert can reach his own rating after training, like i said the others civs are not so easy to use but eventually they will reach the rating, wich means aoc isn't so unbalanced, all civs have counters and the units thats why aoc is balanced, only 3 civs are the problem, the water units were bad planned, fireships do not counter galleys thats why there is no balance in water fights.
On arabia, in a matchup between similar skilled players, Koreans are going to lose every single game vs Aztecs. The only maps where Koreans can beat Aztecs/Mayans is BF and Michi which are not good maps for 1v1. On arabia, you call wall boom anything vs Aztec and you will still lose every game with Korea (assuming similar skill). Im not underestimating Korea, you are overestimating them. Why are you understimating koreans so badly, aztks/huns/mayans are very easy to use, the rest of the civs with less bonuses are harder to explode, there are less recs of experts using them properly in 1x1 wich means the strats are less pulled,in a late game escenario koreans will rape aztks, huns and mayans with ease, this is a matter of perspective there a lot of maps where koreans can wall and hold on and reach imperial age, im not saying they are better than aztks or huns, but in some maps their firepower is OP.

The perfect poll to exactely calculate how unbalanced aoc is. 11
More than 50% think u cant achieve 2k with koreans being 2k with huns so cant say most people think aoc is balanced. Rather, 50%+ say aoc is unbalanced, although they differ in their opinion of the degree of imbalance. Are you being sarcastic or are you just happy that people think aoc is balanced lol
Interesting interpretation. Sure if you break it down, it's 54%-46% the way you see it. However from reading a little about your patch your aim is to make every civ competitive on every map, here we're takin ara ofc.
I say that people see aoc as balanced becuz if the max rate a 2k Hun player can achieve on ara is 1900 w slow civ, isn't that still competitive?
NEXT QUESTION
if poll results continue to show votes towards the top end of rating, why do we need to balance aoc at all? If not, at what rating level do we decide a "slow" civ needs to be boosted?
