1100 - 1500 --> Buy this book and read it all.
1500 - 1700 --> Buy this book and read the economy section complete, you can skip on military strategies. No offense man but some of them are outdated now and are rarely used(like Mongols trush, persian douche)
1700+ -> You don't really need to buy it, but if you are a fan of good AoC mathematical data and analyses then they can be useful.
2 Goths vils can bring a maximum of 100 food/trip, which is what they bring per trip.
3 Goth vils can bring a maximum of 150 food/trip, but they only bring 112, the rest is lost to decay. After doing the math I reached the conclusion that 1 extra vil for 12 extra food/deer is not worth it (considering there's no micro involved), because that villager could have brought more resources (farm food) instead of wasting time of all the 3 villagers walking back and forth (because they will all come back to drop the food below their maximum capacity) only to get us +12f/trip.
If you pay attention to the deer food and micro them so that instead of coming back to the mill/TC they go to another deer while carrying the remains of the previous, and thus take further advantage of the carrying capacity it's possible that it could be better to use 3 villagers. I didn't go that far because I was already tired of thinking about deer at that point.
On the other hand, another an aztec villager means an increase from 80 food/trip to 112 food/trip which ended up being slightly better.
Y, that seems correct But remember that those gather rates don't include walking. Here's the table I used
ww = with walking
Have you taken into account the wood investment of farms? It is true that farmed food can gather more quickly than you'd think, but it's really the wood difference which makes a patch of deers more work efficient that a set of farms. My preference is to have 4 on deer, because that way you have full collection and a reliable drop-off frequency!
Really nice job An1MuS! Parabéns. A suggestion, you should send free copies to Memb, T90, Res, etc. as fun prizes for giveaways on their stream in exchange for posting a link to your book when they upload the video on YouTube.
(If the streamers want to make some extra money, they could also sign up as Amazon affiliates and post the affiliate version of the link, but if they don't already have an affiliate account it may be more trouble than it's worth. You could also give them coupon codes and then pay back a percentage in your own personal affiliate program if you wanted :lol.
Hi André, thanks for your detailed answer
You tested it carefully with math/statistics so nothing to say contrary. However, if we think 1 deer = 140 food and 4 vills (regular civ) can bring 35 food each, then 4*35 = 140 which means nothing is lost to (food) decay, right?
Your table is great because you add walking time you only forget fishing deep fish with japanese which is 0.514 dark to 0.588 imperial age (but without move to dropp off resources).
Another thing I never tought: only land food can be lost to decay, true? About shore fish we get 100% of available food?
Cheers! :D
So even with 4 villagers, it's as if there was a 5th villager from the player "gaia". So you won't ever get the full food from an animal. With 4 villagers the maximum food you can get from a deer is 126 with mongols.
What file format(s) is the book available in? And from which site do you get the best revenue deal?
That would be from Smashwords, by far, where I get about 70% of the price. In amazon I get at most 30%... (depending on the country, it can be less). Thanks for asking that
