+1 and there is huge dilemmas behind upgrades for Mangudais, which newcomers cant understand even after several years of playingI think Mongols are one of the hardest civs to use. No eco bonus after 10 min of the game and require massive boom to be effective. On top of it are their UU pretty hard to micro, which goes for pretty much any civ that requires ranged units in order to be effective. Without micro you die very fast vs siege.
The easiest thing to do is go pala, so huns is probable the best option.
i have seen many newcomers using goths apart from huns, i dont know they like spears tooo much, they make spears irrespective of the units of opp, even after reaching catsle , some times imp they dont upgrade it, just keep spears till late game in huge numbers 1111
i was doing drush fc eagles + mangonels11. I got to 1700 with a Japanese spearman rush, followed by castle age samurais. It never worked more than once against the same person
Vikings, Brits, Huns and Celts
Noobs should learn how to boom before learning how to rush.
So they should pick these civs and play on maps like blackforest and michi.
When they can boom decently they can try other maps like arabia, arena and islands.
