What would you think of a team tournament consisting of BO3 defend the wonder?
Personally I find this game mode the most fun/hectic you can play, especially as a defender which is damn hard! Matches can be finished really fast if the attackers outplay defenders. There is also way less of a build up stage compared to RM so action kicks in a lot faster and harder.
I guess most people don't play it due to its assymetrical gameplay and it being hard to play with randoms. However, I do think in a BO3+ setting this could be something truly refreshing.
Defend the Wonder summary:
Both teams start in Post Imp with walls like arena, 1 TC and 10 vills and 1 scout. The team with player 1 (blue) gets 1 wonder. They are the defenders, they get 600 wood, 600 food, 600 gold, 600 stone as starting res. Player 1 gets 900 wood, 900 food, 900 gold, 900 stone and 1 wonder. The attackers on the other hand start with 900 wood, 1200 food, 1200 gold, 600 stone and 1 castle.
At the start of the game a timer will start on 400 years (33m33s ingame; with huns it becomes 500 years = 41m66s). If the timer ends with the wonder standing the defenders win. If the wonder is destroyed the attackers win.

BO3 Maybe for later rounds have BO5/BO7???
Teams should decide who's going to attack and defend in game 1. Think this could lead to some interesting game 2's where teams try to respond to the tactics used in game 1.
In case of 1-1 (attackers win both games) -> fastest time to kill wonder gets to pick side in game 3
In case of 1-1 (defenders win both games) -> highest teamscore gets to pick side in game 3
(I see attackers winning way more games than defenders though)

Difficulty: Standard
Resources: Standard
Population: 200
Game Speed: Normal/Fast
Please give your input!! Do participants want to play normal speed to micro/macro or do they want fast speed due to the Post Imperial start? Normal speed is 1 sec real time = 1.5 sec ingame. Fast is 1 sec real time = 2 sec ingame. So on fast speed a game could go for 20 minute max.
Reveal Map: Normal
Team Sizes: 2v2 seems way less chaotic than 4v4 but I don't know if 4v4 would give us a lot of teams compared to 2v2. Give me your opinions peeps!
Prize: I recall there being some people interested in sponsoring an interesting tournament like this so let's see if we can get some prize money gathered?
