At my low level (1300-1450) I've never seen someone actually pull off a drush particularly well. They aren't quite good enough at micro to ensure the militia don't just get walled out, killed by a larger number of villagers, or even shot by the TC in some cases. It will force some idle time, but usually nowhere near enough to make it worth it. It's true that players are also not great at defending it, but that's more because they see a militia and think "oh this will immediately kill my loomed villager" when that's obviously not the case.
I've "died" to M@A before, but I can't recall a time I've flat-out died to a drush (excluding pre-nerf Goth spam).

Last game my enemy went for MAA. It started with 3, ended wit 8-10 and did really nothing. I went FC into UU and just killed the MAA in castle age. Only thing i lost was my market and i had to repair some building 11

On an unrelated note, I disagree 1300+ and 1400+ is "low elo".
13+ is top 11% in the leaderboards of DE already, 14+ is top 5% no way you can call that lowAnyone who actually thinks 1300+ is low elo is some combination of misinformed ***** and elitist asshole.

I just build it in front of the gate they tried to destroy. After the gate, the continued with the market. Market went down in early castle age, i think.

yeah i love when i see my low lvl opponents trying to quickwall 11.In lower rated games you can count on them suiciding into TC at some point if you hold off long enough. If not then they are probably over-microing and their economy is suffering too.
Best tip to defend would be placing you mill not right up against berries (so you can easily defend by making one palisade wall at either side, like at a mining camp. Make some quick house/palisade walls towards you TC if you need to limit their movement. Wall in your vulnerable resources as soon as you see the incoming rush rather than trying to do it quick at the last moment.
