so anoying to face khmer or persian almost every ranked tg, with fixed position it got even stronger...
I agree it's annoying, but if there is no penalty in picking vs going random, then people are gonna go for the best.

At first I picked civs, but now I always go random. I think going random is the best way to improve your game and it's more fun that way. At lower-medium level, civ selection doesn't play a huge factor as much as player skill imo.
It triggers me when questions are: A or B?
and the possible answers are Yes or No.

Lies, I played arena with you a while back and it was my Koreans versus your Aztecs KappaI have more fun when I go rnd and I can play more creative, but I usually pick the civ that works for me the best. My point is to improve, Iam mostly around 1900 - 1950 rate. If Id try playing rnd every time, my rating would drop somewhere to 1800 and Id be matched agains generally significantly worse players, that would slow down my improvement. However, if Id have top10 skill, Id definitely prefer playing rnd. I pick civ on anything but Arena, where Iam confident I can overcome civ disadvantage.
I usually pick incas on arena / hideout / black forest, how many balls does that make me?
in your 1v1s only 50% of the people are picking :Dso 60 % playing random but getting randomly always khmer and mongols when i play 1v1. hmmmm
In TG, opposing teams of decent level have picked civs or went mirror in 100% of the games I've played. The few times I/my team go random expecting 12xx noobs we actually get decent players with way better civs. Moral of the story: always pick civs if you want to win in this awful matchmaking system
