There is worse (also directed to you) and you pointed out worse, which is right and good.
Yet you often jump from one thing to another it's hard to follow a conversation with you, which is sad because you do have a lot of valid points.
It's not like you insulted someones mother but calling somebody "Freud" in that way seems a bit condesending and should also be moderated in my opinion (if we start moderate things) and you are smart enough to see how it is provocative and fits in there. Your justification is another provocation but that is quite obvious.
nonetheless you are right there are double standards but you have said so many times and cleraly that you have done nothing wrong and that you are near perfect, that you should be held accountable for your own standards so it's not a surprise people have a closer look at what you say even though it might be minor compared to other stuff on AoeZone
I think that's the point of moderation. I would challenge you to hold the post mentioned to some of the drivel in this thread and tell me where the line is and which one has crossed it, with context.
Here's a fun one for the peanut gallery:
A top 15 player recently failed to complete a high-level tournaments group stage event, quitting after going down 0-2 in a BO5 series that ultimately meant their end of participation in the tournament. (Rage quit.) They were penalized 50% of their earnings for their failure to complete the group stage.
Would highlighting the incident in light of their frequent advocacy on player behalf for lesser admin/tournament restrictions, criticism of tournament seeding (including the one in question,) and the greater context of the recent yet off-and-on-again top player clamoring for "player unionization," be seen as "not welcoming?" or "unfair/unduly critical?"
Would pointing out how these singular yet cumulative events impact streamers and tournament admins and in effect damage the scene be seen as "unwelcoming?" Would attributing the types and amounts of admin decisions that seemingly frequently implicate a certain team in particular be "unfair?" Would the person making the thread be subject to outright flames because they "brought it upon themselves?" Would the peanut gallery tolerate insults hurled towards the topic creator simply because the player in question was a high-level celebrity of the community?
