Pro rata is the wrong metric, you should be comparing the same months/quarters year on year, especially for things like this.-Im just pointing out there isnt a decline much greater than 50%.

Honestly, I dont think there will really be a "right" metric here, other than a yearly comparison as tendo mentioned. Aoe2 tournaments never have fixed schedules (ie. HC=Sep-Apr-Mar-Mar; KOTD=Nov-Dec-Sep-Nov), the difference could be huge with just few days apart.Pro rata is the wrong metric, you should be comparing the same months/quarters year on year, especially for things like this.

If not comparing actual months then yes tournaments is next best, combing everything would be good too. Wrang of Fire went up but NAC went down (it got dropped all together). I think overall AOE2 is getting more money.Honestly, I dont think there will really be a "right" metric here, other than a yearly comparison as tendo mentioned. EDIT: Maybe you can compare all the tourneys which have already been hosted in both 2021 and 2022, but then again, some of the tournaments arent well established yet.

Wrang of Fire isn't really comparable since it was 100% community funded, same as MoS, MoA, etc. The money didn't increase because Microsoft increased it, it increased because GrathWrang has a baller communityIf not comparing actual months then yes tournaments is next best, combing everything would be good too. "Prolly not" is perhaps a reaction to not answer the question . Ofc you could interpret it anyway you like. LolNili said it here that today he would make a NAC AOE2 event instead of AOE4

how pathetic can you be, refering to your own tournament only by the prizepool, not by the name to leech some viewers which only get hyped on money they dont own.Nili said it here that today he would make a NAC AOE2 event instead of AOE4

yeah lets get people hyped with the tournament name instead, or the tournament tier (which is based on prizepool)how pathetic can you be, refering to your own tournament only by the prizepool, not by the name to leech some viewers which only get hyped on money they dont own.
The announcement for N5C/N4C2 will probably sound like this.hey I am hosting a 50dollar tournament, but dont worry it will be awesome bc it has a SICK name so every pro will sign up
The greatest game of all time. The only way Age of Empires IV could have won the heart of the players long-term, was to deliver a game significantly better to Age of Empires II.
Unfortunately for Microsoft, AoE2 is a quite the high mark to surpass. 11
What do you guys think of N4C viewership so far?
Over the last 3 years, from what I've checked, the collective viewership averages at 10K, and peak is maybe 12K?
Is it what they expected?
Honestly, I expected lesser viewership, so maybe not so dead?
WooowBelow is what is Nili expectation. The viewership so far is quite underwhelming for an event of this size. Big prize pool, good production but sadly the underlying game is bad

I guess it's save to assume that he was talking about finals, or better said the Viewer-Peak.He was expecting 27K combined and 20K for his channel as realistic?
Maybe he means for the finals, in which case it is very much plausible.
All of the major AoE4 streamers besides Likador are already at the event so I don't know who would streamI guess it's save to assume that he was talking about finals, or better said the Viewer-Peak.
Makes me wonder if Nili knows about other Streamers planing to cast/stream the finals which aren't streaming the earlier stages, since right now it seems a bit unrealistic for the rest to reach 7k all together.
Memb could stream, he already indicated that if there's nothing else why not and f.e today there isn't much to cast at aoe2 anyway. All of the major AoE4 streamers besides Likador are already at the event so I don't know who would stream
I would bet that memb streams random pleb-forest level beefee games before streaming NC4 tbhMemb could stream, he already indicated that if there's nothing else why not and f.e today there isn't much to cast at aoe2 anyway.
German Streamers like Bonjwa could also be possible, I think this week there is one day especially for being together with German Influencers?
I guess there have to be some Streamers which don't stream yet but will turn in for the finals, otherwise the 7k for other channels seems more unlikely then the 20k on Nilis channel.
I feel like both Memb and Lida a little bit resentful about caster selections lately, though I can't blame Nili or others. It is a simple business decision by host so not much to say.I would bet that memb streams random pleb-forest level beefee games before streaming NC4 tbh
