Dear Community,
Following a meeting with Voobly staff last weekend, we have decided to change the primary purpose of the Community Team and channel. We are working on a vision for VooblyOfficial to become a true community channel by having it live as often as possible with all different types of content (including gameplay) and many different new contributors, whilst still having a structure in place to give casting of important tournament games priority. The diversity of channel content may also increase, with the existing focus on AoC RM and DM possibly being supplemented by content from CS, AoE2HD and other Voobly games such as AoE I and III, Age of Mythology, etc.
The Voobly Community Team will be working on events that will be either sponsored by an external sponsor or funded - either partially or fully - by revenue collected from the VooblyOfficial/Voobly_Stream Twitch and Youtube channels. These funds will also be available - at the discretion of the team - for community events run by either the team or any member of the community at large.
Further details will be published in time regarding the planned changes, but our overall aim is to foster community participation in all aspects of playing and streaming AoC. As part of this, it will be potentially possible for any member of the community to stream on the channel, more information about this will follow later as well.
On a more immediate effect, the streaming of Clan Masters: The Final Showdown will be opened effective immediately. Any previous made rules can now be disregarded, no Clan can decline entrance to someone who is listed as an official streamer in the updated topic.
We hope this will be the start of a new direction and open up further opportunities for the Community Team and the community, current streamers and future streamers alike, to work together in a mutually beneficial manner.
Thank you,
Voobly Community Team
