I’m going with Riut over Max 3-2 in a classic series.
I feel there's a chance that AJ beats MBL
Well, while is a mistake to underestimate a VNA player... Zuppi is not precisely playing in Lord_patito's clan. He's in freaking Suomi. That and he completely destroyed Capoch. So I think Zuppi can beat BacT (altough BacT is favorite). I guess is 60-40BacT is in top shape right now, he can't lose against Zuppi. Stop underestimating VNA players ;-)
I’m going with Riut over Max 3-2 in a classic series.
BacT wasnt arabia player??? Then what kind of player been???Zuppi has always been an arab player while bact hasn't so i'd go for zuppi.
just noticed twigg beat Tim wowI honestly don't think we'll see upsets in the second round. RiuT beating Max or Twigg beating DauT would be the most likely candidates for an upset to me.
Interesting thought. There's no seeds in the official bracket... Here's my pick for the potential upsets:
#8 Max vs #40 RiuT, RiuT is a beast, but both players reach R2 rather smoothly, this will be a very close and exciting match and I think it's really 50% chance of an upset, depends on RiuT's form and practice.
#13Villese vs #20 Daniel, technically the highest level matchup in R2, will be very close game. Skillwise I think Daniel might be the favorite here, but Villese is consistent and always performs on big stage, I give it 50% chance of an upset.
#15 Vinch vs #18 slam, a very close matchup and technical upset, the seeds reflect their respective strength, I give it 45% chance of an upset.
#22 StrayDog vs #54 GoKu, both veteran players, skillwise StrayDog is clearly the favorite, but his playstyle is really risky and the outcome is not consistent. I give it 25% chance of an upset.
#10 DauT vs #42 Twigg, both veteran players, Twigg beat Tim who is somewhat similar to daut in playstyle, that's why I think he got a chance, I give 20% chance of an upset.
#17 BacT vs #49 Zuppi, if both on form, BacT is obvious top16 in the world and Zuppi is at most 16-24 (top16 outsider) on arabia, but we all doubt BacT's form and practice. I watched his match with vodka and find it quite convincing, so I give it 20% for Zuppi.
Fair opinions, I didn't went through all the games so some of my views are based on pure assumptions, like my guess about Twigg/Goku. However, since they're veteran player we roughly know their level.Interesting thought.
Honestly I think Twigg has zero chance. DauT wrecked Heartttt with super solid feudal aggression. Twigg didn’t play exceptional. He won more because of Tim played the most passive games in the whole tourney and titaniced.
As much as I like Daniboy, he get at most 10% chance against Villese. Villese is just too solid.
I will give higher chance to GoKu. Beating LaaaaaN is an amazing feat.
For Daniel I watched his tournament games and believe he improved a lot and got a decent chance if he keeps play agressive and don't make awful decisions. Of course Villese's very strong and always a solid and consistent top16 candidate, but for Daniel he's best chance to be in top16 is now.
that's very true, I watched his last practice match before play the series with Villese on livestream (where Yo beat him with no resistance), he tried really hard but he's just too nervous and overly committed. Seems like he's not used to the tournament pressure, while Villese always performs on big occasions.I gotta agree with Superskinny that Villese will 3:0 Daniel. As much as I'd like Daniel to win, he just seemed wayyyy too nervous/sloppy against Jordan in R64. Villese on the other hand is too solid.
