CALL TO ARMS RULES AND SETTINGS

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Weekly 1v1 'Winner Stays On', Champion vs Challenger
NEW: A player may not sign up for Call to Arms again until at least 10 events after their last participation ended. This rule is introduced on 29/02/2016, prior to C2A #8, and does not apply retrospectively. Players who participated in #1-7 can sign up for #9, but after that, the 10 event rule will be in effect.
3 games per weekly series. All 3 games played, not best of 3.
The Champion must win each series of 3 games either 3-0 or 2-1 to remain as Champion for the next week. The Challenger must win either 3-0 or 2-1 to take up the position of Champion for the following week.
No player may use the same civilisation in 2 different games as either Champion or Challenger. Therefore, a player will participate for a maximum of 6 weeks (18 games) before retiring, since there are 18 civilisations. The aim of the Champion is to stay on for 6 weeks whilst using all 18 civilisations, for which they will receive a bonus prize (if they win the series in their 6th and final week).
Only the Champion can pick Huns, Mayans, or Aztecs. They can only start picking these civs beginning in their 4th week, from which point they must start to use these civs at a rate of 1 per week. Only 1 of Huns, Mayans or Aztecs may be picked by the Champion each week.
The reasoning behind this is so that the Champion does not suffer from having to face these civilisations every week whilst having an increasingly limited selection of civilisations to pick from themselves. Instead, one-time use of these civilisations acts as a perk to assist them in trying to stay on for 6 weeks.
Once the players have been confirmed for each week, the Admin shall submit a forum post detailing exactly which civilisations are available for each player to pick that week, and which maps are going to be played. The players can use this to check which civilisations they have available to them, so they will not have to personally keep track of which civilisations they have already picked.
STREAMING, SPECTATING AND RECORDED GAMES
Players may choose whether to allow free spectating or not, but may not deny access to the room to any admin or streamer.
All games can be streamed live by any streamer. If a set of games was not streamed live, the admin may delay posting of the recorded games for a reasonable period of time in order to arrange a stream of the recorded games prior to posting them.
Anyone is free to also re-stream or make videos using the recorded games.
PRIZE POOL
For each series of 3 games:
$10 per player plus $5 for each game won (each player receives between $10-$25 depending on games won).
Bonus prize for using all 18 civs and winning 6 series of 3 games: $30
Prizes to be sent by PayPal. Fees may be deducted, depending on country.
Failure to turn up or play all 3 games will result in loss of prize money.

GAME RULES
Laming: NO BOAR LAMING. Everything else is permitted.
Please take note: any restart which is a potential bugged map/admin restart (as opposed to player using their restart) must be initiated by save and exit, not resignation, in case the game needs to be restored.
Restarts: Players have 1 restart to use in each set of 3 games. It must be called before 4 minutes (allowable after 4 minutes if opponent agrees). Admin restarts for bugged maps may be called by admins or streamers. If a player thinks they have a bugged map, they should pause the game, tell the other player, and discuss this with the admin or streamer (if present). In the rare event that no admin or streamer may be present, players will be responsible for calling their own admin restarts, but must do this fairly, otherwise some admin action may be required subsequently.
Criteria for bugged map:
- At least 2 trapped sheep.
- Any trapped or missing boar.
- Main gold or at least 1 stone pile is not accessible by at least 4 whole tiles.
- Any freak map generation which obviously conflicts with the intended map generation. Every effort has been made to test each map script thoroughly, but the occasional appearance of rare bugs may be a possibility.
