Hi all,
About player's skill, nowadays we have tons of "resources" available for improvment: tips on forum, recorded games, streams, and so on.
Either way, sometimes, one can feel lost with so many information or really doesn't know where to improve and what are his main mistakes.
In my clan, some players are recent, or somehow "new" and still play at NPL at 12xx/13xx rate. I play with them (mostly 1v1 arabia) and can share some tips or advices. My idea (think more useful) will be to chat while they are playing. I'll explain:
Imagine player "x" likes to do 21/22 pop scouts at arabia 1v1. I can give detailed build up, share few recs of top/expert players and say: "now, go play because practices makes perfect".
But, in one time or another, player "x" can make bad mistakes at dark age (economy efficiency), his scouting skills can be poor, maybe he don't even use hotkeys and probably it will be more useful a straight teach/train of basic stuff.
Now, problem is: if I chat/write while player "x" is playing, it will disrupt he's attention and really sux saying "do this", "go there". Even if he's playing vs some friend (just having fun) it will not be positive and is very annoying.
If I spec, both players will read what I am writing.
If I coop with player "x", he will read too all that "teaching" stuff.
Don't clearly have sure, but I remember some tool, or configuration (maybe I'm wrong), which permit the guy who's cooping write dark age/early feudal tips and player "x" only read it after watching recorded game. Someone can confirm?
Is there any useful way to do this? Because I know they watch good recorded games/streams but when I coop them saw lot's of mistakes: TC idle, problems with sheep eating, not microing berries villagers, woadies with inefficiency and more...
What you can advance about it? Thanks.
