I guess u want to be the person who serves usually alcoholic beverages behind the bar in a licensed establishment. And u want to mix classic cocktails such as a Cosmopolitan, Manhattan, Old Fashioned, and Mojito.
In Australia the money is pretty good for a bartender, since there's a big drinking culture.
The most successful bars here specialize in something, whether it be having a betting avenue, a music/dancing area, nice outdoor beer gardens, stuff like trivia nights and raffles and whatnot.
I have been a bartender last 2 years, and I wouldn't recommend it to do it for the money. Unless you stand in some real fancy place with lots of tips or you are an awesome manflirter.
But if you are going to do it, pick your place well and decide whether you want to drink, have fun, play with boobs or make a decent amount of money. You can't get both, atleast not in my town
