Actually philippe made a very good point in this one.I) 1.4 patch will be released that summer. Please integrate Balance Patch option in single start menu so that EVERYONE can watch BP recs in single player without doing stupid, tedious modifications to the game. The majority of regular Medieval Siege players don't even know about AoCZone and can't figure why recs doesn't work. 100% sure scripter can do it easily.
Let's get real here, people will have the same interest in watching either patch games or regular recs if they are same level in quality. (I have tried to ensure that balance patch games are refreshing due to the civ variety) The lower number of downloads clearly relates to the difficulty in watching a patch rec uninterrupted without the rec being broken in middle. Now these are facts:Even if no one wants to play the patch, there should at least be people interested in watching the recordings right? I don't see them anywhere...
1. Vast majority of players watch recs offline than in voobly.
2. A big percentage of people are ignorant how to watch the patch recs offline. viewtopic.php?f=104&t=104276 The offline installer tool has been downloaded a mere 83 times. Probably because despite my efforts, the steps look tedious to most people (keep in mind most probably the people who know about the existence of this tool are not a majority). You are clearly not telling me that people think patch recs are bad without even watching them, are you?
3. If patch games are so bad, then why do they draw the same amount of viewers in the streams? Because wake up, people are there to watch good games, and good players regardless of the patch.
