Well no. In legal matters in civilized countries the law is interpreted and followed according to the spirit of the law - NOT the letter of the law. Things are not black and white when it comes to rules and such. Adults are expected to understand that. You're not kids running up to the teacher "Awww Missss he came back from break time one minute laaaaatteeee".
If you expect the rules to be exhaustive and account for every situation, you're going to have to read and agree to a hundred+ page document for every tournament you sign up for. It's impossible, and anyone who has ever functioned in the real world will know that. That is why in law we have judges, in sports and competitions we have referees/umpires/admins. To make the best decision possible in those circumstances.
When you signed up for this tournament, Nicov, Juan et al, you agreed to accept the admin decision. Remember that.
I think you underestimate how much of a difference 59 seconds of scouting can make.Sorry but since when i started playing aoc, 3 mins is more than enough to recognize if I think im into something that i would choose to play or not to play

Whether you agree or disagree with admin decision, what you can say for 100% is that ALL teams signed up for this tournament. When they did, they agreed to accept the admin decisions.
Rejecting the admin decision and leaving should not be done lightly and I think maybe the Args didn't understand how serious that actually is?

We don't accept the restart basically because we haven't broken any rule. If it was our mistake we would accept a punishment.
+1I have some comments.
- Sorry Viper, you are my idol but in this case i think Arg was right when they đint accept re. Rules are rules, although Arg doesnt have sportmanship or not. Everybody knows 2-3 second can not make any difference in this game, but if you know that limit time for re is 4:00, why didnt you ask at 3:57 or sooner. It is clearly your mistake.
- Taff make bad decision imo, like he did many times in the past. As an admin i think you have to overcome you emotion and follow the rules that made by you.
- Arg A, you MUST respect admin decision, even it's right or wrong. Like in soccer, you must respect the refree or you got a disqualification.

the admin knows about the rules and let other team break them. thats just....
This is the main issue here tbh. This rule is not interpretable, what should have happened is:
- Look at the chat log and search when Norway asked for re.
- Is it within the 4 minute mark?
. Yes? -- nothing to say, just restart the game.
- No? -- Ask Argentina if they accept the RE, if they dont, give win to Argentina cos Norway resigned.
- End of story
To argue during 40 min to finally end up taking a decision that goes against the rules of the tournament is just ridiculous.
I have no favourites here and I feel Args deserve the win which I explained properly.I can't believe there's people actually defending Arg A over this 11
You can interpret that rules in a very stricted way if you want and deny the acces to ask for a re for few seconds, but the rule is vague it doesn't have a range time to be specific such as you can ask for re withitn the 0.1 to the 4.0 min time range, just by looking the rule as long as you stay within the 4 mins mark and do not pass the 4.59 its okey.
