Hello,
Just wanted to share with you 2-3 tips on how to predict what your opponent is doing in arena.
It's pretty simple and work most games, you can expect approximativly what your opponent is going for just by looking at his up time.
When you up with market+bs you usually up faster than with barack+stable/archery range.
pop 24 (dark) +2 (feudal) => this time is 90% with market, and to go very aggressive rush 1tc, or pure booming (more rare).
pop 25(dark)+2 (feudal) => this time up is most of time with market, could be for going aggressive rush(or rush+eco but more rare), or boom.
/!\ some civ (with dark eco bonus) like mong/pers/brit/ethopian etc.. could be doing scout/arch with that timing
pop 26 / 27(dark) +2(feudal) => can be with market OR stable/range, but also fc UU this one is most difficult to predict, could be going rush, going boom, going both.
pop 28(dark) +2 (feudal) or more => late up, probably making scouts/xbow, or UU/FI.
There is civ which ease the fc, and some other which are more hard/basic, so when you try to guess by the timing, you check this also.
Also try to see if he lured his deer, for exemple if he up pop 26+2, but you see he didnt lure his deer, then he is probably up with market.
/!\ it's still tricky and can't be sure 100% it depend each players, for exemple there is expert who prefer to do 25+2 to go UU (as turk f.e) like vinchester f.e while some other prefer do with more vils, so you have to take anything in concideration:
who you are playing against, whats are his habit, his up time, lured deer or not.
Also very basic, when you explore the map, explore the wall of ur opponent with ur sc be the most close possible of it to see if you can see building like market or barack/stable/range.
I don't really know if it help you, at least thats how I do and guess.
