AoKH Open tournament

If you have the feeling that there has recently been a considerable proliferation of new tournaments in AoC, today's news will only consolidate your belief. It has been barely a few days since introducing the 1st Gemini Cup and here we are again, with yet another [READMORELINKDOTS] tournament, this time however, hosted by Age of Kings Heaven.

AoKH Open is open for 128 individuals who will play in single elimination until the winner arises. The first rounds will be played in best of 3 format but once there are only 8 players left, they will be required to overpower their opponents 3 times before advancing on, playing in best of 5. Until the deadline April 16th, anyone has a chance to sign up, irrespective of nationality or rating, as long as they have played online before.

The tournament will also include attractive prizes for the champion and runner-up, which might very well lure in some of the top players. Still, AoC is not only for the best of the best, so if you are dubious about signing-up, remember that it is primarily about having fun.

The_Prophet, thanks for the nice post

This could be an interesting tournament, it has rather "free will" settings - any standard map can be chosen (without repeating), alongside with any civilization (civ wars not a must), might produce some interesting recs. Its playing format promises it will advance pretty fast, so it won`t be too hard for the players to follow. I`m looking forward to seeing who`s gonna sign up

Yeah, our aim is to have a tournament that's a little bit different from all the others. We also want it to be fairly short, since we've found that many of the tournaments lately have taken a long time to complete (not saying it's a bad thing, just that we want ours to be short).
