I'd like to see leveling units. I mentioned it earlier, but didn't make much sense. What I'd like to see is a unit gaining small bonuses for each unit they kill. Knowing it is unlikely for a unit to survive to rack up too many kills I'd also like to see the units level over time (6min game time = free level)
for example:
-every kill a unit gets gives them a 1% crit at 1 chance on that specific type of unit (like woad raiders, or berserks). This would stack, so after 7 kills of the same unit it would be 7% chance for crit at 1
-at three kills, and at intervals of 10 afterward (3-13-23...) the unit would get a 5% crit at 1 against unit group (ie: infantry, cavalry)
-at six (6-16-26...) the unit gets a minor bonus to 'soft' stats +1% attack speed -OR- move speed -OR- hp (not as soft, but still).
-at 12 (12-22-32...) unit becomes self-healing (1hp per 10 seconds, and stacks. 12=1, 22=2 32=3...).
monks, villagers, and a few other units would be exempt.
Think it would be a fun new twist to the game. not so useful for the hard-core online gamers though.
