Hi guys, I'm really not sure if this is the right section to post this problem I'm having:
I got a Dell Inspiron 1720 Notebook and it occasionally crashes ONLY when playing Age of Empires II. I have no problems with other games that are much more hardware intensive. I did try using it in compatibility mode, played it on vista and windows 7, ran the game as admin etc. I'm really running low on ideas what the hell could cause this strange problem.
Sometimes the game just freezes, othertimes it gives me a bluescreen saying:
*** Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error
*** The system has halted ***
First I thought it would really be a faulty hardware, but then i discovered several threads on the internet with the exact same bluescreen, EVERYONE was using a Dell Laptop Oo. (for an example see here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/hardwar ... e-2-a.html)
Did anybody deal with a similar problem? Would be gratefull for any advice I can get, because playing ranked games when your Laptop crashes one out of three times is horrible...
