well i join and diewell I simply do not join such a games! knowing my skill I ain't gonna ruin game for 7 people xD
As stated before, number of players in rooms is relatively meaningless.
Well, people idling in a room is meaningless indeed. But at this very point I see 400 people playing AoC in GR. So that must mean something.
Im sorry but you people are absolutely crazy if you think its more active now then zone times, and im not talking about near the end of AOC / AOK on zone (2006ish) but before that. I dont care if voobly has 3 1000 rooms filled 90% of those people sit there ALL Day and do nothing. Zone had 300 max but there were many that were full then you have your ladder rooms full and all the Rated rooms full. Games were almost instant back then, takes hours to get a good one now.

I agree. I'd say about 95% of the games played on Voobly has at least one person blaming team or displaying BM, and I think that really drives people away from this game. What I really find funny is when the game is almost over, most of them would put speak all on and say "**** team" or something similar like that just go get validation or something. Not to mention it's not the only game in town, so why play with rude people that rage over a obscure decade old game when you could play any other one with a better community? The best thing you could hope for is most of aoc's games moving back to Ladder Room...aoc was flourishing the most in the ladder days. When rated points is no longer an issue people are quite happy to play random teams, random civ, random map, odd settings like shimo (team together off, locked teams off, ffa but u can ally people and on regicide) or 4v4's on 2 player map size, also ES and MFO maps, used to keep aoc way more interesting. Rated games makes people meaner, ruthless sometimes, look for any way to win such as massive laming etc, all teh stuff the kicks the fun out of playing, i miss ladder days the most.
