Which ones are you referring to in particular?
formation exploits
AI exploits (eg. pulling 1 unit away to lure AI fire and have the AI miss the shots)
dodging ballistics
walling instead of making an army
blocking armies with 1% complete building foundations
always defaulting to eco, because even when you get countered by an attack, you can building-block for several minutes to bail yourself out of every strategy mistake
reading the score instead of scouting (eg. to see when people click up)
pushing deer instead of hunting them
scouting with sheep
lots of villager baby-sitting / rot-avoidance techniques
i'm not saying aoe4 won't have its own weird tricks, but it's not going to be the same stuff as aoe2
