Have fun,
ty clemensorinho <3Nice work
This should shower up windows 10 from all the lag issues as long as you follow the entire guide. and for those who are still fan of windows 7 menu, this will make windows 10 start menu looks exactly like windows 7: http://www.classicshell.net/I've been looking for this for a long time. I've had reinstalled my os several times cuz of these 'freezes' or scroll speed and never solved. Hope this works.
Nice guide, but some of the services you are disabling help to read faster any hardware you plug in such as powershell, but well for normal users it doesn't affect.
I have it running in compatibility mode for windows 98 cus its using 4-6% less cpu in multiplayer compared to the xp, i don't think its normal that aoc consumes about 2.2ghz of cpu just by using throught voobly, or is it normal?
I have to test that resolution patch and expand the virtual memory, but another issue i have seen is that aoc doesn't get along with the multitask of w10 sometimes it crashes while jumping to other stuff.
Oh thanx for the mouse patch i already changed my mouse, but somtimes the doubleclick goes back, its very annoying.
Thanks so much for the headphones fix, I've been hating that issue for ages. Most of the other stuff I already have done myself, including configuring classical shell to be exactly like the win7 start menu. :D
What exactly is the problem if you're not setting it to 44100Hz?Thanks so much for the headphones fix, I've been hating that issue for ages. Most of the other stuff I already have done myself, including configuring classical shell to be exactly like the win7 start menu. :D
The problem was that my headphones were way to loud even on the lowest setting. I installed the APO equalizer and set it to -30ish db and now I can actually use them. What exactly is the problem if you're not setting it to 44100Hz?Thanks so much for the headphones fix, I've been hating that issue for ages. Ah. I always have a very mild disturbance in my earphones, when I plug them in. Any fix to that?
Thank You Sir! I appreciate your feedback. I try to occasionally trow something that will make the community more educated about technical stuff.Good job mate, not that I use Win 10 but it's wonderful people like yourself exist and give time to help others on AOC .
Win 1.0 for me all the way
Win95 is better, you can run AoC on it. I've still got a couple of running laptops from the 90's with win95.Win 1.0 for me all the way
Surprisingly the disturbance increases when I plug in my laptop charger. If I'm on battery, it's negligible.Ah. I always have a very mild disturbance in my earphones, when I plug them in. Any fix to that?
right click the taskbar volume icon, and go playback devise> speaker> properties> emhancments and make sure the " disable all sound effects" is ticked
OR
Try ffdshow audio decoder standard with windows media player classic. Make sure you install it during the setup. Play around with ffdshow settings- (tick the volume box)(can be found in the system tray when the music is playing in media player).
Hi,I tried most of these steps (or atleast most of the ones available to w7), especially the voobly settings/aoc properties/Nvidia graphic cards. Unfortunately, for some reason my game feels really choppy now, and it was fine before. Any idea what could have caused this? My game ran absolutely fine before with the exception of a little mouse lag and queue lag (if my keys were spammed too fast, units wouldn't queue in the building they should have, and I would end up with 2 units queued in one building and the other building with none, for example), which is what I was looking forward to fixing with these changes.
Thank you so much! I got to the "Disable Useless Windows Features" bit and already feel a massive difference. Before it was like HD with inertia scrolling but now it's like a totally different game; still doesn't feel normal but a massive improvement nonetheless. Btw, I'm skeptical about using any IObit products - when Game Booster first came out it was great but surely afterwards, it was bought by a larger company based in China and as far as I'm aware, it installed "malware" on your computer. You couldn't chase up on/complain about their products and it took a while to get rid of all the little things it downloaded to your computer.
